The Blue mango variety is one of the most eye-catching varieties of the Mangifera family, and it’s imported from Vietnam. It grows on regular mango plants.

Blue mangoes are start out green and as they mature; the smooth skin begins to take on a sturdy hue and turns a deep blue like near purple colour. It has an orange flesh that is sweetly aromatic.

It’s flesh is a medium orange colour with some small fibre near the seed, but not too stringy. The perfect colour will come if we cover the fruit with a paper bag for a few days.

When the fruit is covered in a paper bag before it ripens, it will expose its colourful side to the sun. If the fruit is covered like this, the taste of the fruit will be sweet and the colour will be perfect.

MAXIMUM HEIGHT – Up to 4-5meter, sometimes more or less depending on pot size and place of its location. 

BLOOMING YEAR – In South India starts from November and North India starts from February to March. It takes 100-150 days from flower to fruit development.

FRUITING TIME – Edible fruiting will start after 1.5-2 years after purchase. It starts in March and is available up to mid-August.

INITIAL CARE FOR 10-15 DAYS JUST AFTER RECEIVING YOUR PLANT 

1. Remove the Packaging Materials carefully.
2. Press the soil in the pot & add additional soil(garden mix) if necessary.
3. Maintain moisture in the pot, Do not overwater it may kill your plant, so make sure that the soil should be dry between watering.
4. Provide support with stick/moss stick(vine plant) in order to make straight growth, for needed plant only.
5. Make sure that plants get enough direct bright light for 10-15 days & do not go for immediate transplanting(minimum 1-2month)
6. Just prune if any branch of the plant is get damaged in transit. It happens very rarely.
