Cinnamomum verum is called the true cinnamon tree or Ceylon cinnamon tree, is a small evergreen tree belonging to the family Lauraceae. Grows to a medium to a tall sized tree about 6 to 8 meters tall. The leaves and bark are used for flavoring food. Oil is used for local application on certain rheumatic pains. THIS IS MAINLY USED FOR ITS BARK.

Grows in dense canopy forests, not found in degraded conditions. So it needs some humidity subtropical humid climate to grow.

Likes good soils with lots of organic matter and good drainage grows better if regular irrigation is provided.

You can grow it easily in the medium to large size pot, or directly in the ground is always best.
- You can grow in temperature between 20 – 35 Degree celsius with 75% of humidity.
- It will grow as a small to medium-sized tree, but you can prune & maintain your required height.
Sunlight – Full Sunlight (4-5hours) or Semi shade like Greenhouse is also okay to grow.
Water – Always Maintain the moisture in the soil. Water it when the leaves look dull.
Fertilizer – Apply any organic fertilizer once in 2 months.
Repotting – If found the roots are coming out of the pot or plant is not showing growth for a long time then repot it.

INITIAL CARE FOR 10-15 DAYS JUST AFTER RECEIVING YOUR PLANT
- Remove the Packaging Materials carefully.
- Press the soil in the pot & add additional soil(garden mix) if necessary.
- Maintain moisture in the pot, Do not overwater it may kill your plant, so make sure that the soil should be dry between watering.
- Make sure that plants get enough morning direct bright light(2-3hrs) for 10-15 days & do not go for immediate transplanting (minimum 1 month)
- After 1 month you can transplant it into a slightly bigger pot than the present pot or you can remain in the same pot for 6-7 months.
- Just prune if any branch of the plant is get damaged in transits. New leaves will come definitely.
