Guaiacum officinale (lignum-vitae/Tree Of Life) is native to Caribbean and the northern coast of South America. This an ornamental evergreen tree with pretty rich blue flowers. This is a small slow growing tree and the wood of the tree is heaviest and densest in the world. This is used in Ayurvedic Indian medicine. Guaiacum officinale is the national flower of Jamaica.
